History
For 15 years, Cincinnati-based Pure Romance has offered a unique combination of relationship and sexual health information delivered in small groups in the privacy of homes and private meeting spaces. Gatherings are similar to other home parties in design, but different because we offer significant education on intimate topics, and products can be purchased privately from a knowledgeable and professional consultant.
Health
A recent study showed that 43% of women and 31% of men reported some form of sexual dysfunction. Over 90% of women report that their doctors have never asked about sexual concerns. Nearly 40% of Americans at any given time take prescription medication for depression or anxiety. These medications are known to cause low desire and orgasm difficulties in men and women, as well as dryness and painful intercourse for women. Additionally, smoking, poor diet, obesity and low activity are lifestyle behaviors that contribute to arousal and orgasm problems. We all face sexual changes due to aging, pregnancy and childbirth, pelvic surgery, medical problems and the effects of medication. The need for relationship enhancing products grows yearly.

Pure Romance has partnered with researchers at Indiana University's Sexual Health Research Working Group to fund research on sexual health needs of breast cancer survivors, women who experience painful sex, as well as orgasm and sexual desire studies. Several of our products are undergoing trial through the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) to validate safety and effectiveness.
